Ayurveda believes that 'symptoms' are simply the body's way of communicating and bringing attention to a state of imbalance in the body and/or mind. Ayurvedic Consultations are essential in order to help establish the root cause of acute and chronic conditions, not just symptoms.
During an Ayurvedic Consultation you will be asked about current illnesses and symptoms that you may be experiencing, along with questions about your sleep, digestion, appetite, energy levels and mental and emotional situation.
The consultant will also discuss your medical history in detail along with past and current dietary and lifestyle habits.
The consultation includes a pulse diagnosis which helps determine your natural body constitution and current state of doshas (imbalance of the natural elements). Also included is a tongue diagnosis which reveals the levels of Ama (toxins) in the body and where they may be residing.
In order to help gently bring your mind and body back to their natural balance you will recieve advice and guidance, specific to your individual needs and requirements including;
£40 (1 hour) / £32 (45 minutes)
Follow up consultations are recommended following your initial consultation, they provide support and guidance as you make the postive steps necessary towards a happier, healthier life.
At least two follow up consultations of 2-6 week intervals are recommended following your Initial Consultation in order to assess how the body is responding to the changes implemented and to make adjustments where necessary.
Consultations are then recommended at least 2-3 months thereafter. This helps to provide ongoing support and ensures that you receive the correct advice and guidance for your current state during season changes and ever changing state of doshas in the body.
Pre - Treatment Consultation
Free of charge (15 minutes) / £20 (30 minutes)
A short 15 minute consultation is necessary prior to each treatment in order to establish the state of doshas (natural elements) and Ama (toxins) in the body and any other arising issues, ensuring that you receive the most effective and beneficial treatment best suited to your needs.
